March 7, 2023: The Bluest Eye, All Boys Aren't Blue, The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and Red, White & Royal Blue were removed by the initial review and recommended for removal. The Clockwork Princess was retained at both stages. For All Boys Aren't Blue, the exhibit says the committee recommends removal because of the sexual content it contains, which it says violates Utah Code, and not because of the racial or transgender topics the book explores.

April 18, 2023: Monday's Not Coming, removed by the initial review, was recommended for retention in junior high and high school. Thirteen Reasons Why and Sold, retained by the initial review, were recommended for retention in high school. The exhibit anticipates board approval as a consent item.

July 18, 2023: The Lovely Bones, retained in high school by the initial review, was recommended for removal. Deogratias, A Tale of Rwanda and Lawn Boy were removed at both stages.

October 3, 2023: The Poet X, initially retained in high school, and Me and Earl and the Dying Girl, initially retained, were recommended for removal.

November 14, 2023: Crank, initially retained, and The Handmaid's Tale, initially retained in high school, were each recommended for retention in high school with parental permission required. The Kite Runner, initially retained in junior high and high school, was recommended for retention in high school. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and The Perks of Being a Wallflower, both initially retained in high school, were recommended for removal. Looking for Alaska was removed at both stages.

March 19, 2024: I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings was removed at both stages. Bodies are Cool and The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian, both initially retained, were recommended for removal.
